I’ve been a huge fan of Elvis Perkins ever since I first heard “While You Were Sleeping” back in 2006. His second album with band Dearland, Elvis Perkins In Dearland, was released a few months ago and I’m still enthralled. “I Heard Your Voice In Dresden” is perhaps my most favorite single song to come out out of 2009 so far; it’s beautiful and joyous and a perfect example of Perkins’ enormous talent.
