I have been wanting to find the original lyrics but cannot find them. I only see the sShaggy version, which is TOTALLY different. So I went on youtube and listeded to to the original version by Folkes Bros, but some times I could not understand what was being said. I listened to 2 or 3 other artists versions and they are slightly different, but not the same as the unintelligible original. So here is my mixed as close as possible to the original version, which i am learning and I like to sing and play on guitar.

OH CAROLINA------when possible lyrics are from FOLKES BROs Original Mento artist.

Oh Carolina (me want--a she me want**Yellowman version)
Oh Carolina
Oh Carolina honey darlin
Come back and make things right (you know for you me want***yellowman version)(why did you make me cry)--cannot understand original

Oh I'm so lonely
Yes I'm so lonely
Oh I'm so lonely Carolina
Come back and make things right(why did you leave that nightoriginal?)
